Nikita has diverse experience on complex projects with multiple stakeholders. She is especially skilled at creating processes that support robust community engagement, while ensuring efficiency in delivery with an auditable trail.

Passions: People, travel, good food and creating positive change, with a side of cold dips, fitness, exploring new restaurants and spending quality time with the people I love.

 Guilty pleasures: Fancy coffee before 1pm, dark chocolate, a spotless house, retail therapy, taking the scenic route (sometimes unplanned), and rewatching old series. Add a great dinner and an even better dessert, and I’m very easily convinced that “just one more episode” is a good idea.

Melanie has a diverse background in events management and strategic communication. She combines strong creative, organisational and interpersonal capabilities to deliver projects in dynamic environments.

Passions: Dancing, DJing, travel, dissolving into a good book, and spending time in nature.

Guilty pleasures: Eating Nutella straight out of the jar with a spoon 👀. (Is this too revealing?!?!!!!.... like my expanding waistline?)

Alre is skilled in both the environmental and social facilitation sphere.  She has undertaken audits to ensure compliance with environmental authorisations, and has led team members on complex social facilitation projects. She is strategic and personable, encouraging collaboration to aid in building construction relationships between communities and project stakeholders.  

Passions: Reading, drawing, spending time anywhere with an ocean view; getting lost in a good series; experimenting in the kitchen; and exploring new places and seeking out new adventures.

Guilty pleasures: Eating my body weight in sushi; enjoying a glass of wine at the end of the day; online shopping with no intention of buying anything; and playing the same song on repeat, only to completely forget about it.

Ilyaas emerges from a scientific background, ensuring that his activities have precise methodologies and solution-oriented outcomes.  He has strong experience as a team leader and in project co-ordination.  Ilyaas develops public participation material with a view to facilitating accessible understanding within diverse communities, and providing platforms for interaction on sensitive matters. 

Passions: Weekend golfer, competitive board games, ocean drives, food critic and writer.

Guilty pleasures: Having breakfast for dinner

Murad has a wide range of experience on the application of environmental legislation in relation to development proposals.  He has conducted EIAs across a number of sectors including renewable energy, mining,  oil and gas, nuclear, residential and leisure.  He leads a team of professionals for the undertaking of processes to acquire authorisations for development. 

Passions: Football and the Fantasy Premiere League. Dining out. Self-proclaimed master of the medium-rare steak at braais; and Fitness / gym / running.

Guilty pleasures: Conveniently forgetting about my meal preps and accidentally stopping at a takeout spot on the way home.

Taryn leads the environmental auditing division, managing a team of consultants and undertaking compliance audits on diverse sites.  She is skilled at finding practical solutions to construction related matters, working with the water related legislation and the compilation of reports for alignment with compliance requirements.

Passions: Playing softball, reading a good book, baking (I have been trying to perfect my homemade bread) & binging my favourite TV shows.

Guilty pleasures: Having a self-care night, a warm bath, going out for pizza & having a games night.

“Zulu” has extensive stakeholder engagement experience working for government organisations previously and now as a consultant in the private sector.  He is especially skilled at navigating complex social dynamics and is well known and respected as a leader in vulnerable communities. He is fluent in both isiXhosa and English.
